CairoBrief

Your Cairo, designed around you

A 90-minute interview. A fully custom itinerary. On-ground support if you want it.

Most travelers see the same three stops, eat at the same commission-paying restaurants, and leave with photos but no memory of the city.

I live here. I know the Cairo that exists after the tour buses leave.

How it works

In a 90-minute conversation, I learn what you actually want — not what the guidebook says you should want. Then I design your Cairo around your psychology.
The Connector wants to meet artists, founders, and musicians in spaces where they actually work and gather.
The Contextualist wants to understand why this city is obsessed with its own past.
The Sensory Seeker wants culinary depth, desert silence, and neighborhoods that smell like cardamom, not diesel.
The Anxious Planner wants a bulletproof itinerary and a WhatsApp number that actually answers.

I don't do fixed routes. I do fixed attention.

Who I am

I am a Canadian engineer who lives in Cairo. I speak English, Spanish, and Arabic.

I do not work with tour agencies. I do not take commissions from restaurants, shops, or drivers. I work for you.

I am not a licensed tour guide. I am a local fixer and experience designer. I cannot lead you into archaeological sites claiming expertise. I can translate the city, introduce you to the people who live in it, and make sure you never once have to haggle with a taxi driver.

FAQ

Do you work outside Cairo?
I design itineraries for Sinai and Upper Egypt, but I only provide on-ground concierge services in Greater Cairo. For other destinations, I hand you to vetted partners and remain your remote point of contact.

Why is there a 3-day minimum for concierge?
Day 1 is orientation. Day 2 is the first real layer. Day 3 is when the experience becomes yours. One day is a tour. Three days is a relationship.

How do I pay?
Stripe or PayPal in USD or CAD. I invoice you after we agree on the plan. For concierge, I require a 50% deposit to hold the dates.

I'm a woman traveling alone. Is Cairo safe, and will I be comfortable working with you?
Cairo is generally safe for women, but it requires different navigation than Western cities. Street attention is common, some neighborhoods feel different after dark, and certain spaces — like specific cafés, studios, or family homes — are simply easier or more appropriate to access with a woman present.

I work with female travelers regularly, and your comfort and agency shape every decision I make. My colleague Hagar, who knows Cairo intimately, is available as a point of contact for specific questions and can join us for parts of your itinerary if you prefer. We design each day around where you feel at ease, and I never assume access to spaces where a male companion would be inappropriate. Your boundaries are the itinerary.

What if I just want a restaurant recommendation?
Then you don't need me. This service is for travelers who want their entire Cairo experience designed, not a single tip.
